Join Us for the Annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout!

The largest unsanctioned boat race in the US is happening in just a few weeks! According to Powerboat Magazine, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is named one of the nation's eight "must-see" boating events. The event will bring the top races and off-shore power boats topping 244 MPH to the Lake! Grab your friends or gather the family and join us at the Lake of the Ozarks August 14-28 for this can't miss boating event! 2016 Shootout Events

The Lake of the Ozarks shootout is about more than just the boat races. It's a charity event that raises funds for eight Lake-area rescue teams and numerous other charitable organizations. Festivities take place all week long leading up to the event, and the activities keep growing each year.

The 8th Annual Shootout Benefit Golf Tournament 

Kick off the Shootout Festivities with the benefit golf tournament on Saturday, August 14. Registration and lunch are at noon, with a 1:00 shotgun start for the tournament. There will be an awards party immediately following.

3rd Annual Border Expressions Shootout Lil' Boat and Pontoon Poker Run 

Registration for the poker run will be from 8-10 am on Friday, August 19 at Captain Ron's. Following the all day poker run, there will be an awards party at Topsider at 6 pm.

7th Annual Mini Shootout 

The Mini Shootout will take place at the Springs at Ha Ha Tonka. Registration and the Meet & Greet will be at 5pm on Friday, August 19. Practice runs will start at 9 am and run until Noon on Saturday, August 20. The races will take place from 1-5 pm on Saturday and from 9 am - 4 pm on Sunday, August 21. There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the races on Sunday.

The Great Shootout Treasure Hunt at Captain Ron's 

Join locals and visitors alike at Captain Ron's for a social hour on Monday, August 22 from 5-6 pm. At 6 pm, they will explain the rules for the treasure hunt. The hunt will then take place from 6:10 - 7 pm. Check out and presentation of awards will immediately follow the hunt.

Shootout Volleyball Tournament 

On Tuesday, August 23, test your game of volleyball from Noon to 8 pm at Captain Ron's.

Shootout Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction at the Stables at Cannon Smoked Saloon 

Social Hour will take place from 6-7 pm on Tuesday, August 23. Dinner will be served at 7 pm, and the induction of the Shootout Hall of Fame Class of 2016 will start at 8:30 pm.

Shootout on the Strip Meet & Greet 

Meet the racers and their boats on Wednesday, August 24. Boats will line up on highway 242 from 2-3 pm, and the procession from there to Bagnell Dam will happen from 3-4 pm. The meet & greet will be open to the public from 5-10 pm.

Vendor Booth & Racer Villages Setup

On Wednesday, August 24, vendors will setup their booths from 8 am to 4 pm.

Free Parking Day at Scallywags RV Park & Buccaneer Bay Resort 

Vendor booth and racer village setup will continue from 8 am to Noon. Breakfast will be served at Captain Ron's from 8-11 am. Live entertainment by Sweet Trouble will be happening from 6-10 pm at Captain Ron's that night.

Make-A-Wish Powerboat Rides 

From noon to 4 pm racers will be giving boat rides to Make-A-Wish recipients off Dock 3 at Captain Ron's.

Shootout Auction and Poly Lift Poker Run Meet & Greet

You can register for the poker run from 4-9 pm on Thursday, August 25 at Performance Boat Center. At that time, you can also meet & greet racers. The auction will happen from 7-9 pm.

On Friday, August 26, things start heating up! Here's the schedule for the day:
  • 7:30-10 AM: Poly Lift Poker Run Registration and Breakfast
  • 8-11 AM: Breakfast at Captain Ron's
  • 9 AM - 5 PM: Vendor & Racer Villages Open at Buccaneer Bay & Captain Ron's 
  • Noon - 4 PM: On-Site Racer Registration at Cannonball Beach 
  • Noon - 4 PM: Safety Inspections & Class Identifications on Dock 4 and Cannonball Beach 
  • 6-7  PM: Poker Run Awards Presentations 
  • 7-11 PM: Live Entertainment at Captain Ron's with The Cherry Pistols
  • 11 PM - 1 AM - DJ Kyle at Captain Ron's
