Did you know that August is National Family Fun month? Family is very important to a lot of people, but it can sometimes be difficult to get all of your family members together under one roof. The Lake of the Ozarks is full of fun activities for all ages! Whether your weekend at the lake is an adult getaway or a full family function, it's easy to keep everyone entertained here. There are many great places to shop, including two shopping centers: The Landing on Main Street and the Osage Beach Outlet Marketplace. If you find your group getting hungry, the lake has a large variety of places to eat including waterfront restaurants. If you’re looking for some time on the lake, make sure to check out options like lake cruises, water taxis and charters or if you have a boater’s license, there are companies at the lake that offer daily boat and personal watercraft rentals. If you find yourself at the lake on a rainy day, a kid friendly favorite is visiting the lake's arcades.

After a long day of shopping or spending time on the lake, squeeze in a game of mini golf or go karting. The Lake of the Ozarks offers multiple mini golf courses and go karting tracks for high energy family fun. If your family is looking for something more low energy, visit the Bagnell Dam Strip for souvenir shopping, dining and ice cream. Also, if your kiddos love to dance and jump around, stop by Lake Ozark Live (located on the strip). They play music and have a dance party for kids on Friday and Saturday nights 8 to 10 pm until Labor Day.
